Foxconn: Has recruited enough workers to meet iPhone 12 production needs

On March 23, according to foreign media reports, Apple manufacturing partner Foxconn assured investors that before the production of the 2020 flagship smartphone iPhone 12 began, the company had managed to recruit enough workers at all major factories in China. The Foxconn plant in China will resume full operational capacity after several months of difficulties due to the ongoing new coronavirus epidemic. The company reportedly issued a statement Sunday evening stating that they had achieved their recruitment goals ahead of schedule. In early March, Chairman Liu Yangwei told investors that the plants were operating at 50% capacity. The Foxconn plant is expected to reach production peaks in July, when they will begin production of the iPhone 12, which will be released in the fall. These plants underperformed from January to March, which led to costly delays and staff shortages. The outbreak of a new coronavirus has affected Foxconn's finances. As a result of the epidemic affecting Foxconn's production lines, it experienced the largest monthly revenue decline in the past seven years. The company's stock price has been falling, falling 4.7% on Monday as investors worry that the outbreak will curb demand for consumer electronics in the US and UK markets. Foxconn emphasized that the company is working to prevent new types of coronavirus infections. About 55,000 workers were tested for the virus, and more than 40,000 of them received additional chest X-rays.
