Specifically, Hisense plans to reduce the number of jobs in Slovenia by about 1,000, and the total number of jobs in other countries by 1,200. Hisense Europe expects that it will lose tens of millions of euros in the first half of this year, after previously forecasting a profit of 1.1 million euros.
Hisense said in a statement that the number of employees in all departments in Europe will be reduced, and layoffs will include outsourcing, voluntary resignation and retirement.
It is understood that Slovenia has reported 1,366 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, of which 79 have died. Since mid-March, all local schools, bars, restaurants, hotels and cultural institutions have been closed and public transportation has been suspended.
